Lead Source Configuration

Introduction: The Lead Source Settings module in LeadIS enables you to define and manage the sources from which your leads originate. By categorizing lead sources, you can track and analyze which channels are driving the most engagement, helping to refine your marketing and outreach strategies.

Key Components of Lead Source Settings:

  1. Source List:
    • Displays a list of all lead sources added to the system, such as:
      • Email
      • Excel
      • Facebook
      • HubSpot
      • WhatsApp
  2. Status Association:
    • Each lead source is linked to a specific lead status, such as:
      • New Lead (NL): Indicates leads that have just entered the system.
      • Appointment Set (AS): Represents leads that have scheduled an appointment.
      • Hot Lead (HL): Highlights high-priority leads.
      • Undefined (UN): Default status for sources not yet categorized.
  3. Add New Lead Source:
    • Click the + button to create a new lead source and associate it with a specific status.
  4. Search Functionality:
    • Use the search bar to quickly locate a lead source by name.
  5. Edit and Delete Options:
    • Use the three-dot menu next to each lead source for editing or removing it from the system.

How to Configure Lead Sources:

  1. Access the Lead Source Settings:
    • Navigate to the Settings tab in the main navigation menu and select Lead Sources under the Business category.
  2. View Existing Lead Sources:
    • Review the list of existing lead sources, along with their associated statuses.
  3. Add a New Lead Source:
    • Click the + button to open the Create Lead Source form.
    • Fill in the details:
      • Name: Enter the name of the lead source (e.g., “Google Ads”).
      • Status: Assign a default status for leads from this source (e.g., New Lead).
    • Save your changes to add the new source.
  4. Edit or Delete Lead Sources:
    • Click the three-dot menu next to a lead source to update its name or status, or to remove it from the list.

Example Use Case:

  • New Source Addition:
    • Add “LinkedIn” as a lead source and associate it with the Hot Lead status to prioritize leads coming from LinkedIn campaigns.

Tips for Success:

  • Regularly review and update lead sources to ensure accurate tracking of marketing channels.
  • Use meaningful names for lead sources to easily identify their origin.
  • Associate appropriate statuses to streamline the workflow for leads from each source.
